About the Data Types and Data Sources Contributing to Select AKN and AKN-Integrated Tools

The outputs of various AKN tools or tools that are integrated with the AKN (i.e. the U.S. Fish &am Wildlife Service's Information for Planning and Consultation [IPaC)] tool) are generated using a combination of datasets within the Avian Knowledge Network (AKN). The list below reflects the data types currently being accessed to produce tool results (Status: 'Current'). Data types are organized by major protocol categories (such as Point Counts and Area Searches) and significantly distinct observation data efforts (such as eBird and BBS). Each data type encompasses data from one, to several hundred different projects.
