To enhance security measures, we'll be requiring everyone to use a more reliable login system called login.gov starting in September of 2024. Signing up for login.gov is completely free, and it uses the latest security features to protect your account.
Here's what you need to know:
- Matching Email Address: When you sign up for Login.gov, make sure the email address you use matches the one associated with your current account. This will ensure a smooth transition. (If you already have a login.gov account with the same email, you can use that one)
- Two-factor Authentication: Login.gov requires a secondary authentication method such as an authentication application or text message to keep your account secure.
The account you're attempting to sign in with has access to a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) project.
To meet federal security standards, we now require any user with access to an FWS project to do so with a login.gov account.
