San Joaquin Recharge Basin Inventory Version 1.0

This spreadsheet describes recharge facilities (current and planned based on existing grant applications or other readily available information) in the San Joaquin Valley of California. It includes information on the general physical characteristics of these facilities. This report is a snapshot of operations in the San Joaquin Valley in late 2018. With the implementation of the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), conditions on the ground are rapidly changing. Although some entities may not solely take part in groundwater replenishment, there are joint powers agreements between many entities (and under different names) under which recharge operations may be conducted. Additionally, this list does not include private recharge operations, nor does it include potential additional groundwater recharge operations that may be recommended by Groundwater Sustainability Agencies (GSAs) in their Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs) that are under preparation due to SGMA implementation.
