Waterbird Census Summary 2006
This summarizes the waterbird survey work done at Patuxent Research Refuge in 2006. Wide variations in precipitation caused considerable change in water levels. Rogue Harbor was kept drained to prevent beaver obstruction of the outlet structure. Knowles 1 and 2 were drawn down for much of the summer and fall to encourage shorebird use.
