Abstract

The annual monitoring survey for the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, in the Imperial Wildlife Area. The marsh bird annual survey’s main purpose is counting the Yuma Ridgway’s rails and other marsh birds. The time period of the survey is annually from March 15 through April 30. Currently the survey is based on the May 2009 protocol titled “Standardized North American Marsh Bird Monitoring Protocols” by Courtney J. Conway.
